Mike Garlick World Cup News

Its been another great footballing day in Qatar with a Brazil Victory. Welcome back to the Mike Garlick Burnley Football Club football blog. Here we will bring you the latest news from the world of football. The world is going crazy over the latest shockers in the results, including Saudi winning against Venezuela and yesterdays exciting match with Serbia. Make sure you follow our football blog and comment below. Here is the latest run-down:

Brazil beat Serbia 2-0 in the final game of day five of the World Cup after Switzerland beat Cameroon, Uruguay were held to a goalless draw against South Korea and Portugal beat Ghana in a thriller. The Tottenham striker scored both of the game's goals in the second half, with the second a beautiful volley which lit up the match. It wasn't all good news for Brazil however, with Neymar going off injured following some rough treatment.

A good victory like this shows the team are in a good shape to go for the trophy and this is important. The second-half showed that if Brazil avoid making mistakes at the back then the goal will come as it did yesterday. Brazil are in Group G of the tournament. Who knows whats next in this World Cup, I mean Wales just lost 2-0 to Iran. Anything can happen. Follow Mike Garlick online here.
